Windergy India 2023 to be held on October 4-6

Hyderabad: Windergy India, a trade fair on wind energy sector, will be organised on October 4-6, 2023, in Chennai. Alongside trade fair, a two-day conference themed on ‘Power of Wind 2.0 – Energizing the Future of India’ will also be organised.
The event aims to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, business networking, and showcasing the latest advancements in the wind power industry. The platform highlighting the need for technology and innovation, will bring together indu3stry leaders, policymakers, investors, and innovators to explore the latest trends, technologies, and business opportunities in the domain.
The event is supported by Ministry of Power, Ministry of Renewable Energy, NITI Aayog and by the Government of Tamil Nadu through its investment promotion arm, Tamil Nadu Guidance Bureau, as the invest partner. The UK Government will be joining as a country partner and Denmark as the green strategic partner country, would be showcasing their innovations. Global Wind Energy Council will join as knowledge partner.
The domestic industry is also seeking PLI scheme for an upward trajectory in the manufacturing sector.
Amit Kansal, CEO and MD of Senvion India, one of the leading turbine manufacturers in the wind energy sector, said that “along with wind OEM, Production-Linked Incentive or PLI scheme, if extended to components and sub components manufacturers, will ensure scaling up of the manufacturing capacities installed.”
